Indirectly inspired by the Facebook movie, "40’s and Shorties" culture capturing sock designs were originally thought up to become new emojis for iPhones. Realising that making such an app takes a certain skill set, the breathers behind the brand decided to stay in their lane and take this idea to the clothing industry. Capitalising on a niche within the game, the socks within the range feature statements that range from 90s hip hop collective “A Tribe Called Quest” to modern day crying “Kim Kardashian”.
