So everyone knows the GAG blog and online store has been super slow and a bit crap on the updates lately… Well the reason was that Sean, Jarred and myself have been busting our asses to try and get the new online shop sorted and working and looking fine, I think we have done it!!!

BIOGRAPHY OF HENRIK VIBSKOV

Henrik Vibskov, Danish born, grew up in the middle of the countryside of Jutland, Denmark. He graduated from the well-known Central Saint Martins College of art and Design, London.

Vibskov has featured in a host of style and modern culture magazines around the globe like The Face, Brutus (Japan), Dazed and Confused, I-D, Wallpaper, Purple, Selfservice, Numero, Vogue plus many more etc.

Also a prolific creator of fine art projects, his exhibitions have been shown at Expo Japan 2005, Midwest Tokyo, Factory Tokyo, Millbank Gallery London, ICA London, Sotheby Gallery New York, Palais de Tokyo Paris, V1 gallery Copenhagen, Danish Design Centre, Copenhagen and Kunstraum Kreuzberg, Berlin.

Additionally, Vibskov has done short films. “The Monk” won the 1st Prize at Beck’s Future Prize 2000 UK with a panel consisting of prominent personalities such as Jarvis Corker, Douglas Gordon and Dave Stewart. “The Egg” short-listed at Beck’s Future Prize 2001 U.K. Both films have been shown at numerous art exhibitions and film festivals and done together with the Danish filmmaker Thomas Jessen. Together with the Japanese fine art artist Mitsunori Asakura, Henrik Vibskov did a documentary “Pigs In Tokyo”. The film combines a styled scenario with the moving picture in an abstract twisted way.

Introduced to drums by his brother,  Vibskov has been playing drums since the age of 10. He won his first 1st prize in a breakdance competition at age 12 where he used his knowledge of the drumbeat on the dance floor. One year later at the age of 13 he played live at the Danish national radio. Vibskov left high school and played and lived on the streets around Europe with the “later” Grammy winner Marie Frank. Since then he’s appeared on 10 releases with various artists. Lately he’s been behind the drums on the Danish artist Trentemoeller’s album ‘The Last Resort’ and together with Mikkel Hess doing Drumming Friday on the streets and clubs.
