Camera party time….
We have just received another sweet pile of amazing cameras from the good people at Power shovel. The goodies include a few more of the little key ring cameras, mini fish eyes, sneaky book cameras and the baby holga. To add to these we also have the amazing golden half, the cat in a can camera, the pop art maker and the make your own camera kit with full instructions in Japanese. Awesome. It looks like a cat and meows like, um, a cat. With a film inside, The White Cat camera also takes great pictures. If you are into cat-photography, this is your camera. If not, it is still a loyal and super cute point and shoot.
The Golden Half story goes something like this…
Way back when, the Golden Half was a widely used and sought after camera. Its half frame shots meant that film-tight photographers could generate 72 images from a 36-exposure roll. It was the ultimate in sustainable snapping. Then – shock horror – the Golden Half disappeared. No one is quite sure where it went, all we know is that Powershovel have brought it back.
The Golden Half still shoots half of the standard 135mm frame, allowing you to take twice the number of images using a regular 135mm film. This makes Golden Half an ideal travel companion, it’s also pretty sharp at night shoots when paired with the Woctron flash unit.
As the name indicates, a camera is turned to plastic model. You can even learn the internal structure of a camera! A driver is the only equipment you need (a driver is included)! It may look cheap but it produces surprisingly sharp photography.
This cute little camera called the demekin has a fixed fish eye lens on it so you can take shots of your mates and make them look they have big noses and tiny little eyes, among other things… (it takes 110 film which we sell too!)
